Mikvah Mei Sarah Updates

Thank you for being a constituent of the Park Slope Mikvah! We hope that you are doing well and enjoying the start of spring.

We are grateful that during the past two years, despite the restrictions of Covid, we were able to provide you with a safe and meaningful Mikvah experience. We are also happy to announce that, as of Sunday, May 1st, we will be lifting our Covid restrictions and offering on-site preparation rooms. To accommodate those who would like to take extra precautions, we will reserve the Chamber of Chic Simplicity as a non-prep-only room. Of course, all rooms will continue to be cleaned and sanitized between each use.

We will continue to charge our regular $40 Mikva fee for standard users, and $65 for brides. All donations to help with our increased fees of cleaning costs and maintenance will always be greatly appreciated.

We continue to take pride in providing our community with a beautiful, state-of-the-art mikvah while maintaining the highest standards of safety and cleanliness.

We always appreciate hearing from you, so if you have any questions or comments, please do communicate them to us. All feedback will remain confidential.

We hope you continue to enjoy the use of our facilities. Thank you again for your patronage.

Please note:

  • Each room is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between each use. We maintain a rigorous cleaning schedule to eliminate transmission of illnesses.
  • The Mikvah pools, in addition to our usual bromine and chlorination filtration system, are receiving additional rigorous chlorine treatments on a continuous basis during the duration of this virus outbreak. We are following ALL CDC guidance for proper operation, maintenance, and disinfection of our Mikvah which inactivates the virus that causes COVID-19 in pools and hot tubs.
  • Community members must abide by the self quarantine rules and be extra vigilant in maintaining best practices to eliminate person to person contamination. For specific questions, please consult with a Rabbi. In questionable cases, we will be able to accommodate you with the last available appointment.
  • Do not come to the Mikvah with any symptoms of illness, including fever, vomiting, diarrhea, and upper respiratory infection.  This is in accordance with the CDC and the advice of various doctors.

May we be blessed with good health and happiness for our entire community.

Fondly,

Mrs. Sarah Hecht
